PANDEMIC LOVE

Erica and Rob’s love story began during COVID-19, when they met on a dating app. After several attempts, Rob was able to take Erica on a brunch date and the rest was history! On May 5th, 2023, they were married in an intimate ceremony at the Gadsden House in Charleston. The historic home on East Bay Street provided the backdrop to Erica and Rob’s most special day. Guests enjoyed a seated dinner during the reception that followed. Guests danced the night away in the open air of the heart of Charleston, while surrounded by blush hues and love from family and friends.

BLUSHING ELEGANCE

Throughout the planning process, Erica emphasized wanting a romantic, glam event design. Her bridesmaids wore strapless champagne dresses from Amsale. A very neutral and classic palette was chosen with pops of spring blush and shades of peach to add dimension. Tupelo Honey assisted in bringing this vision to life by providing a beautiful array of ceremony, reception, and personal florals. Personal details such as their custom napkins and stationery complemented the theme of blushing elegance.

Southern HOspitality

Erica and Rob placed their guest experience as their top priority while planning, ensuring their guests were consistently taken care of the second they stepped into the venue until the second they left. Guests were immediately greeted with champagne and libations upon arrival to the ceremony. During cocktail hour, King Street Hospitality Group passed margaritas, a nod to Cinco De Mayo, and old fashioneds, the groom’s favorite.

After guests enjoyed a seated dinner, KSHG passed espresso martinis, highly requested by the bride, around the dance floor. Last night bites were miniature chicken biscuits, a southern classic, and almond wedding cake for dessert! After a night full of excitement and dancing on the East Bay Courtyard, the couple made their farewell exit amidst sparklers in the air and left the venue in a vintage Rolls Royce getaway car.
