A Coastal Tented Wedding at Lowndes Grove
We first met in 2015!
We first met the bride, Natalie, when she was a bridesmaid in one of our weddings in 2015 so we were thrilled when she reached out to our team about planning her very own wedding! As local Charlestonians, Natalie and Will couldn’t think of a more perfect location to celebrate with their loved ones than Lowndes Grove’s waterfront property in the heart of Downtown Charleston.
A mix of neutral & coastal
The couple leaned heavily into neutral tones and coastal blues to complement the natural beauty of the venue. They wanted to be surrounded by their closest friends and family and there was no better way to implement that sentiment than their circular ceremony on the front lawn. This special detail set the tone for an evening full of intentionally unique design elements.
For the reception tent we focused on the natural landscape of the space, bringing in wooden x-back chairs and wedgewood linens.
Classic white and green floral arrangements full of texture accented the tables. Subtle nods to the Lowcountry were seen throughout the day too including a local oyster display at cocktail hour and fern foliage incorporated in all the floral arrangements and bouquets. One of our favorite design elements of this day was the living greenery wall that served both as the cake backdrop and the perfect photo background for guests.
A star pendant touch
Ending the evening on a high note, the couple and their guests danced the night away after dinner. Wanting to bring more of a party element to the dance tent, we entrusted TEC to add their moravian star pendant lights over the dance floor and it created the most romantic setting!
