She will be starting in our office June 1st and with her previous experience in coordination and floral design, we are thrilled to have Lindsey bring her expertise and passion to our wedding repertoire!

Meet Our Summer Intern, Elizabeth!

We are so excited to announce the arrival of our summer intern! Interns are prized possessions around here, so we’d like to go ahead and formally introduce you to Elizabeth!

Elizabeth is a rising Junior at College of Charleston with a major in Communications and a minor in Hospitality and Tourism. She was born and raised here in Charleston, SC– a true Charlestonian! Being a local, she loves to go out on the boat, enjoy the beautiful beaches, and on the weekends she loves to ride her horse on Seabrook Island. When asked why Elizabeth decided to go to College of Charleston her reply was, “Who would want to leave Charleston? Everyone vacations here, but I am lucky to call this my home and I’m not ready to leave”. Her dream of wedding planning began when she was a bridesmaid in her sisters wedding and saw the process of wedding planning from beginning to end– and loved it! Elizabeth hopes to learn how to capture a brides vision, yet still keeping that classic Lowcountry style of her own.

Quinn Sherman

As a southern transplant that has frequented the Charleston area her entire life, Quinn returned to the Lowcountry in early 2012 and joined A Charleston Bride as an Assistant Coordinator & Office Manager. Quinn is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with previous experience in events, managing a wedding blog, and serving as a media editor for an online magazine.

Intern Farewell

As my internship comes to an end, I am wrapping up my semester with a recap of one of my favorite events here at A Charleston Bride. Let me start by saying it definitely is not easy choosing a favorite since they are all so beautiful and unique in their own ways. However, one wedding really stood out to me with its individuality and vibrant color scheme. This Middleton Place charmer treated guests to a ceremony overlooking the butterfly lakes, followed by cocktail hour in the garden. The ribbon chandeliers and bright floral designs made for an evening to remember.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with the ACB team. They are truly a wonderful group of women!

Smitten Magazine’s new and improved interactive website is easy to use and includes loads of content. Anything from real weddings, to beauty and style and everything else that falls in between. If you haven’t purchased your digital copy for your computer or tablet yet, you should probably go ahead and do so! It’s filled with gorgeous inspiration for spring and summer!
