Happy Anniversary Ingrid & Jonathan!

Tuesday, November 20th, 2012

A year ago yesterday, Ingrid and Jonathan were married at the scenic Mingo Point out on Kiawah Island. We were so happy to be apart of their special day! Oysters and cocktails, good company, and a great reason to celebrate – what more could you ask for? Wishing you a very happy one year anniversary from all of us at ACB!

Happy Anniversary Juli & Bobby!

Tuesday, November 13th, 2012

Wow! We can’t believe it’s been a year since Juli & Bobby’s intimate 40 person wedding ceremony & reception at Pepper Plantation. Here are a few of our favorite pics to capture their beautiful day!Our oh-so-talented Jonie LaRosee created a masterpiece of Juli’s bouquet; It was a gorgeous, textured compilation of garden roses, ranunculas, lisianthus, seeded eucalptyus & veronica.

A Creative & Custom Spin on a Favorite Lawn Game

Thursday, October 18th, 2012

Cornhole, also known as bean bag toss or corn toss, has become an ever popular lawn game across the southeast. This game has been a huge hit in Charleston as it’s great to play on the beach or in the park in the springtime or to set it up in your backyard for football gamedays & oyster roasts in the fall months.  We’ve also  noticed that they seem to be the ultimate companion to cocktail hours at weddings! The game consists of the players take turns throwing corn hole bags at a raised platform with a hole in the far end. While it doesn’t sound that snazzy- I’m sure you’re thinking not black tie appropriate – but, we have found the perfect local to transform these wooden boards into gorgeous custom designs. Hugh Welch, with SC Cornhole, has transformed a few of our bride’s wedding day design schemes into the perfect pair of boards that will forever remind our clients of their Big Day!

Happy Anniversary Mr. & Mrs. Beacham!

Monday, May 28th, 2012

Wow; time flies! We can’t believe it’s been a year since Laura & Worth’s wedding weekend!

Some of our favorite details from their wedding were:

  • Their sweet Ceremony!  The sun set over the lowcountry marshscape & the cheerful- yet romantic Chuppa made a gorgeous backdrop for tying the knot!
  • How they got they got the party started! A few of the horn players from Atlanta Rhythm & Groove lead guests to cocktail hour with some lively New Orleans style Jazz. This set a very energized tone for the evening- which lead to a fabulous dance party!
  • Their ride to happily-ever-after! Laura & Worth left their reception via golf cart with their dueling sports team paraphernalia rivaling on magnets from the back (The Clemson Tigers vs. The Georgia Bulldogs). They stayed on the property at the beautiful Litchfield Inn. Cheers to many, many happy years ahead!

Starting Spring Off Right

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

We are so excited to kick off the Spring season outdoors with a fun rehearsal dinner at Lowndes Grove Plantation!

Picture this: we start the evening off with field games- Croquet, Bocce, & Horseshoes.

Before you know it, its a starry night next to the Ashley River. Glowing lanterns hanging from the oak trees & warm fire pits softly light the area. Can you say romantic?

Scattered bales of hay will be lined in plaid & burlap fabric for a natural touch.

Guests will be mingling and noshing on blueberry pie at long wooden farm tables with runners in the hunter green plaid.

If you can’t picture it yet, maybe looking at the layout will help:

I know, I know… you wish you were invited. But hey! that’s what we’re here for. Your rehearsal dinner can be just as fun and amazing.

Wren Bistro Bar & Market

Monday, February 14th, 2011

Last week we caught lunch at a cute bistro in downtown Beaufort, SC.  Wren is located 2 streets from the Beaufort waterway on Cateret Street. We had both a delightful (& productive!) lunch- but honestly, you would have thought we had never eaten out before. We could barely stop oooohing & ahhhhing enough to get our sandwich & salad down. We were so impressed & inspired by the ambiance & decor of this eatery that we just had to share!

Wren has exposed brick walls & they have jute rugs hung from the rafters to mimic the look of curtains. There were long linen booths along both walls with glass pendants hung from above & french bistro inspired weathered wooden chairs. It was just as cute as could be. Understated- yet simple southern style.

They even had a simple arrangement consisting nothing more than sand, rocks, moss, oyster shells, bark & a palm frond- a total inspiration for a Spring bride!
