Carrie & Matt on The Wedding Row!

Saturday, February 9th, 2013

We just adored these two! Their wedding at Magnolia Plantation was a blast and the details were some of our favorites! Although there were fun, playful elements, it was extremely elegant and fit these too darlings perfectly! We loved how the long farm tables and simple centerpieces for the seated dinner turned out. And who doesn’t love giant pink balloons and string lighting? Big thanks for the lovely photographs from Love the Daniels! Enjoy the weekend and check out our feature on The Wedding Row!

We Love an Appy Couple!

Friday, November 30th, 2012

Attention: Charleston Brides! We recently stumbled across a fabulous new {and cute!} app out there for all things wedding! One of our brides has introduced us to this little gem of a wedding tool and we just love it. Without further adieu, we introduce to you the Appy Couple. With the Appy Couple you can easily keep all of your details and inspiration in one convenient virtual place. Easy to use, super cute, and fun to share with friends and family – we most certainly approve! Create your wedding website, keep track of vendors, and pop that virtual champagne! There is so much to do with the Appy Couple. Check out their site or blog, Spliced by Appy Couple, to see what it’s all about!

Cozy up and gather a little inspiration this weekend…

Breath of Fresh Air

Monday, October 29th, 2012

Baby’s Breath, typically a filler flower, often reminds us of cheesy cheap prom corsages. Recently however it has made a come back in a big way. When grouped by itself  in the mass, we have found that baby’s breath can make a wonderful impact. Besides it’s stand alone understated beauty, it’s serious perk is that this feminine & delicate flower is a much  more economic option to many other white wedding flowers.

At our wedding last weekend, we hung large baby’s breath clusters from the points in the tent. It looked gorgeous amongst the twinkling cafe string lighting.

We also had a  baby’s breath wreath hung on the tree above the candy buffet. These simple baby’s breath statements throughout the event created the down home southern weddingy look we were going for. Both the brides dress & cake were lace & the daintiness of the babys breath helped recreate that lace look in a few of the floral pieces.

A couple of baby’s breath wedding tidbits & scenes that we’ve spied & loved  are:

An all baby’s breath altar; created with wreaths & garland. Very elegant!

Incorporated in to a bouquet to help lend a soft, delicate feel- but also gives it some texture & depth.

Tied with burlap twine & paired with a linen suit. This baby’s breath bout & the monogrammed handkerchief screams chic southern wedding!

Or as lusciously large centerpiece. We love to pair this look with a simple white or silver vase.

Where Should We Register?

Friday, October 26th, 2012

The age old question of “where should we register?” or “what should we register for?” are always on the minds of the newly engaged when beginning the planning process. There are, of course, the go-to places for bridal registry like: Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, Macy’s, Pottery Barn, and Belk, just to name a few. But we also love some of the really great local places that have some not-so-ordinary items. Vieuxtemps and Celadon are two of our Charleston favorites! Honeymoon registries are also a fabulous idea! These new registry sites are all the rage and a great gift to the bride and groom. If you need help getting started with your wedding registry, Martha Stewart is always a great place to start! Here are a few of our ideas, including basic items as well as some not-so-ordinary camping gear for the outdoorsy couple!
