Carrie & Matt on The Wedding Row!

Saturday, February 9th, 2013

We just adored these two! Their wedding at Magnolia Plantation was a blast and the details were some of our favorites! Although there were fun, playful elements, it was extremely elegant and fit these too darlings perfectly! We loved how the long farm tables and simple centerpieces for the seated dinner turned out. And who doesn’t love giant pink balloons and string lighting? Big thanks for the lovely photographs from Love the Daniels! Enjoy the weekend and check out our feature on The Wedding Row!

Holiday Entertaining

Who doesn’t love to throw a good party? You’re crazy if you don’t look forward to the holiday entertaining season. It’s always fun to attend, but sometimes it’s nice to be the host of a festive little gathering. Here are some great entertaining and decorating ideas for your upcoming weeks!

We love the idea of wreath made of bay leaves or a tasty spin on bruschetta (goat cheese, arugula, + sun-dried tomatoes).

Metallic décor and a winter wonderland color scheme.

Fun and simple place card ideas.

Decorating the buffet with simple flower arrangements and fruit acts as the perfect décor options. We love this color palette!

Just a few fun ideas for all of your winter entertaining!

A year ago yesterday, Ingrid and Jonathan were married at the scenic Mingo Point out on Kiawah Island. We were so happy to be apart of their special day! Oysters and cocktails, good company, and a great reason to celebrate – what more could you ask for? Wishing you a very happy one year anniversary from all of us at ACB!

Happy Anniversary Juli & Bobby!

Tuesday, November 13th, 2012

Wow! We can’t believe it’s been a year since Juli & Bobby’s intimate 40 person wedding ceremony & reception at Pepper Plantation. Here are a few of our favorite pics to capture their beautiful day!Our oh-so-talented Jonie LaRosee created a masterpiece of Juli’s bouquet; It was a gorgeous, textured compilation of garden roses, ranunculas, lisianthus, seeded eucalptyus & veronica.

Ciao Bella Cassique!

Thursday, November 8th, 2012

Last weekend wrapped up our last event  at the Cassique Clubhouse on Kiawah Island. Two & half years ago, we were the lucky (or not so lucky) coordinators to pave the way for first event at Cassique. Our clients were scheduled to get married at Kiawah’s River Course just two weeks after the club burned down. April 10th, 2010 was the first event at Cassique & quite frankly- you would never have known that it wasn’t the original plan afterall! The tent pad, ceiling, fabric liner, flooring, walls, lighting, staging, etc. all went up Tuesday the week of the wedding. Our production team then went in with additional fabric to soften the plastic walls. And some accent green fabric to jazz up the ceiling.

The small garden courtyard that was thought to only fit 50-75 guest seated, was measured & intricately put in our layout & to our surprise, we were able to fit 200 seated guests for the ceremony.

Our photos from that wedding our killer; Tim Willoughby did an amazing job!

Here is a little trip down memory lane to showcase the various events that we have done at Cassique:

We have thoroughly enjoyed our time at Cassique! It was a fun 2.5 years! However, we are very excited & looking forward to the reopening of the River Course Club House in Spring 2013! :)

A Creative & Custom Spin on a Favorite Lawn Game

Thursday, October 18th, 2012

Cornhole, also known as bean bag toss or corn toss, has become an ever popular lawn game across the southeast. This game has been a huge hit in Charleston as it’s great to play on the beach or in the park in the springtime or to set it up in your backyard for football gamedays & oyster roasts in the fall months.  We’ve also  noticed that they seem to be the ultimate companion to cocktail hours at weddings! The game consists of the players take turns throwing corn hole bags at a raised platform with a hole in the far end. While it doesn’t sound that snazzy- I’m sure you’re thinking not black tie appropriate – but, we have found the perfect local to transform these wooden boards into gorgeous custom designs. Hugh Welch, with SC Cornhole, has transformed a few of our bride’s wedding day design schemes into the perfect pair of boards that will forever remind our clients of their Big Day!
