A Charleston Bride

We are so excited to announce the arrival of our summer intern! Interns are prized possessions around here, so we’d like to go ahead and formally introduce you to Elizabeth!

Elizabeth is a rising Junior at College of Charleston with a major in Communications and a minor in Hospitality and Tourism. She was born and raised here in Charleston, SC– a true Charlestonian! Being a local, she loves to go out on the boat, enjoy the beautiful beaches, and on the weekends she loves to  ride her horse on Seabrook Island. When asked why Elizabeth decided to go to College of Charleston her reply was, “Who would want to leave Charleston? Everyone vacations here, but I am lucky to call this my home and I’m not ready to leave”.  Her dream of wedding planning began when she was a bridesmaid in her sisters wedding and saw the process of wedding planning from beginning to end– and loved it! Elizabeth hopes to learn how to capture a brides vision, yet still keeping  that classic Lowcountry style of her own.

As my internship comes to an end, I am wrapping up my semester with a recap of one of my favorite events here at A Charleston Bride. Let me start by saying it definitely is not easy choosing a favorite since they are all so beautiful and unique in their own ways. However, one wedding really stood out to me with its individuality and vibrant color scheme. This Middleton Place charmer treated guests to a ceremony overlooking the butterfly lakes, followed by cocktail hour in the garden. The ribbon chandeliers and bright floral designs made for an evening to remember.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with the ACB team. They are truly a wonderful group of women!

The fragrance has been carefully blended to mimic the flavors and aromas found in your favorite types of wine. You can never have too many candles, right!?
